Urtyp is unquestionably the pioneer of dark, bottom-fermented brewed beer in Eastern Westphalia.
Already in 1957 our Grandfather Franz Kohlschein brews his beer for the Warburger Beerfestival. We have been brewing it ever since.
Made with nest hops from Tettnang and traditionally dried dark Tauber malt, it nally matures over 90 days in our cellars to unfold its distinctive taste.
